FAQ
Nonfiction: The Retreat is designed for women in ministry. The retreat is focused on Kingdom leadership principles and geared specifically toward leaders. If you and/or your husband serve as senior/lead pastor, a staff pastor, a missionary, or in another similar ministry leadership role, or if you are a woman who is a minister or the wife or widow of a minister, this retreat is specifically designed for you.
Overlooking Table Rock Lake and just 10-15 minutes from the major attractions in Branson, Chateau on the Lake is a resort spa and convention center. You can book rooms with lake or mountain views, and some offer private balconies. This venue has over 40,000 sq. ft. of event space.
We are so excited about this year’s accommodations! Since the Chateau has onsite accommodations, we all will be able to stay in the same place, with no need to drive from your hotel to the retreat! This also will make visiting with friends even easier.
You are responsible for booking your own room, and we have a special room rate available to us. You can use this link to book. This room rate is also good for 3 days before and 3 days after our event dates, so you can extend your stay! Rooms have lake or mountain views, with many offering private balconies. The Chateau also offers pet-friendly rooms!
If you are flying, you will want to fly into Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF), which is about an hour from Chateau on the Lake. Car rental is available at the airport.
Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center is located at 415 N. State Hwy 265, Branson, MO 65616.
Nonfiction will be Wednesday and Thursday, November 11-12, 2026. Each day, Nonfiction will be from 9am until 5pm, with an evening event to be announced.
If you are not extending your stay and will only be attending Nonfiction, we recommend you plan to arrive Tuesday evening so you will be ready to go when Nonfiction begins Wednesday morning.
Nonfiction will be all day Wednesday and Thursday, so you will want to plan to check out Friday morning.
So, for a Nonfiction-only stay, plan to book for Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday night.
Yes! The special room rates are available up to 3 days before and 3 days after our event dates.
Plan some extra days with your friends who are attending the retreat, or bring your family along on the trip and vacation with them on non-retreat days.
Between the serene views of Table Rock Lake at the Chateau and the relaxing spa and other amenities, and the entertainment options in Branson, you can mix relaxation and peace with fun and laughter and community–it’s the best of everything all in one!
Chateau on the Lake has extended their special rooms rates to include 3 days before and 3 days after the event days, so you can turn your retreat trip into a getaway! With a spa, lake access, beautiful views, and onsite dining options, this makes a great destination spot on its own. However, a short 10-minute drive will give you access to the Branson Strip, Silver Dollar City, and more.
Branson is a family destination vacation spot! Whether you are into restaurants and shopping, outdoor recreation, theme parks, or live shows, Branson has you covered. These dates also fall in the holiday season, and Branson is filled with Christmas lights and holiday-themed activities as well. From Sight and Sound to Silver Dollar City to Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, it’s a great place for a getaway!
Nonfiction is not a church service or a conference; it’s a retreat. Although you will have plenty of time to fellowship and connect during meals and breaks—and we hope you do!—Nonfiction is a lot of one-on-one with you and God, hearing what He is speaking to you about your own life and situations.
It’s an exhale of the weight you carry every day, and an inhale of strength and clarity and purpose. You carry no responsibilities for—or to—anyone else while you are here.
Nonfiction is hearing the stories that not only let you know you are not alone but also give you hope that you can make it through to the other side. But with all of that being said, come prepared to actively reflect on what you receive. Quiet contemplation for processing what has been presented is a regular part of the schedule.
The two-day retreat is only the start. You will be given tools to implement to continue to dig and change and grow long after the retreat has ended; if you put them into practice, you WILL see change in your life.
We look forward to having you join the Nonfiction Tribe!
We are unable to provide childcare for this event. Due to the length of the days and the nature of the conference, it would be best for all children (with the exception of infants) to remain with a caregiver if possible.
All registrations are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to someone else. Contact us at info@kqministries.net for assistance with a ticket transfer.
We will continue to update this page with more information as it becomes available, including details on our evening events.
